I have all my p3700's set with 4k LBA, but with the rms-200 it ha a 512byte lba. i'm not sure how to format it with a 4k lba, but is there a way to force it to use 4k?

i'm using 2 of these for my log drives, so i assume it would have to be done on the creation of the log vdev?

maybe i'm just out to lunch.....

It may be impossible to configure the device for anything other than 512-byte sectors. Not that it's a big deal, the P3700 supports 4k blocks as an optimization, but it's still an abstraction (NAND gets erased in blocks of multiple MB, typically). For a DRAM-based device, it's going to make very little difference, if the embedded processor can keep up with 512-byte blocks. You might gain a little bit of performance on the card and a little bit of performance on the host, but it's going to be a smaller gap than what you'd see with flash, which has to worry about write amplification, garbage collection, wear leveling, etc.
