first reboot after installation stuck on using kfc interface

I found a thread on it and solution using single user mode ,but I've tried to enter the following commands and it said no such command found

#su -
#mount -u -w /
#cd /boot/kernel
#rm ipmi.ko
#rm ipmi_linux.ko
#exit
#reboot

Yeah, that doesn't sound right.
