Family photo management best practices

What system(s) do you have in place to manage family photos? I'm talking not so much about backing up everyone's smartphone pictures as about a system to bring together pictures from everyone's devices into one central library. This is convenient to create printed family photo albums, for instance, or to share links from after a family event.

I have noticed there are some old threads on this (2017 ish) but would imagine things have evolved since then.

Since you're posting in the SCALE sub-forum, the biggest change since 2017 is that SCALE is now a thing.

If you're into using TrueCharts, there are many options available that were and weren't there before in CORE plugins.

If you need sync to/from devices, Nextcloud or Resilio are going to be some of the only realistic options as their apps are able to grab photos from devices if properly permitted.

Plex also has options to access photos on-device, but doesn't exactly offer a sync.
