Failover requires Switch support like LACP?

I want to use Failover but every time I enable it I get "an error occurred". Does all Link Aggregation protocols require switch support or is it just not as easy as selecting Failover then both NICs and clicking OK to set it up?

You should be able to set it up but it won't work unless you have switch support.
