Would you RMA this drive?

http://pastebin.com/aqLbWC5s

I'm obviously most concerned with the failed extended offline test:

Code:
Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error
# 2 Extended offline Completed: read failure 20% 7953 98124504

The Raw_Read_Error_Rate of 2 and the Multi-Zone_Error_Rate of 1 aren't thrilling me either, although I don't think those are necessarily a huge concern. I'd appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

Personally I would do a badblocks pass then redo an extended SMART test to really see if it's just a hiccup or if it's worse, because there is no pending nor reallocated sectors (yet...).

A failed SMART test is typically reason enough to RMA a drive.

Yeah, I would order a cold spare just in case but it might be just a bad sector, not the drive failing (well, I agree it's not often the case). I don't know if a RMA cost money, if not I guess you can RMA it without further questions effectively ;)

I wound up doing an advance RMA. Will replace the drive that failed as soon as the replacement arrives and goes through SMART and badblocks. Thanks for the feedback @Ericloewe and @Bidule0hm. I have RaidZ2, so I think I'll be OK for a couple of days given the current drive isn't completely dead yet.

Ok, good ;)

It's not dead, it has just started to fail apparently, so you have the time to replace it without a problem :)
