A while back i setup an iSCSI target on a UFS array. It has come time for me to expand this UFS volume but it appears it can not be done as simply as ZFS. UFS was chosen as multiple hosts were mounting the iSCSI targets, with ZFS this could have caused corruption.
Question, should I create a new (multiple 1 per client) ZFS volume for iSCSI targets now so in future i can easily expand and also utilize the ZFS features? or is there a way to gracefully expand ufs volumes and i am just missing something.
This UFS volume is being used for multiple ESXi hosts as datastores.
