Error "root: /etc/rc: WARNING: Dump device does not exist. Savecore not run."

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can let me know if I should worry about thise error message or not?

I get this"root: /etc/rc: WARNING: Dump device does not exist. Savecore not run." in the "messages" log at the end of each reboot of the Freenas server. I do not have anny issues with any drives Zpools or anything, everything seems to be working and no other error messages in the log files.

I'm on FreeNAS-8.3.1-BETA2-x64 (r13015) a clean install.


Please let me know if any one of you knows what to make of that error message.

Nah, you can ignore it. It is so save crash info in case a kernel panic has occurred. Freenas does not support it.
