Hi there,
I just tried out the Freenas 8.3.1 Beta3 and build an encrypted ZFS pool . I selected "Force 4096 bytes sector size" "Enable full disk encryption" "Raid-z".
I then tested its thoughput by doing :
as you can see I got around 60 MB/s
how ever if I create the ZFS array myself in the console like this :
I get this
So around 240 MB/s
So it is a lot faster.
This is also true for a single drive pool, where I get around 140 MB/s when created manually and 80 when created via the GUI.
Is there something wrong perhaps with how the GUI creates the pool at the moment? Am I missing something ?
I don't know if I can use my manually created pool with the GUI since there is obviously something very different.
