yeah I was surprised by the sale date, also when i saw the 100GB cache I initially thought *holy that's big* by the time I got to the end of the article I realized 100GB is really nothing. It would be interesting to see how it performs, probably will be fine at first but fragmentation might make doing that much reading and writing an issue. Seagate was messing with HAMR too but don't recall them saying anything about it recently.
