Hi All! Love FreeNAS as a NAS which allows power savings by spinning down disks. Now, I just moved my storage pool from a jumble of mixed drives to a set of 4 matched drives (4x SAMSUNG HD103SJ) . I always had success with configuring the drives to spin down and such. The weird thing is now that all of the drives show up twice in "Show Disks". Same serial #, save /dev address, same everything!

smartctl shows the proper 4 devices... Seems like this is a cosmetic bug? One thing to note is that one of the drives in my current pool was used in the old pool.

freenas# smartctl --scan
/dev/ada0 -d atacam # /dev/ada0, ATA device
/dev/ada1 -d atacam # /dev/ada1, ATA device
/dev/ada2 -d atacam # /dev/ada2, ATA device
/dev/ada3 -d atacam # /dev/ada3, ATA device
freenas#

Any ideas?

When I've been messing with different configs, I've seen old disks that have been physically detached still listed by the GUI. It seems to happen when you don't follow the steps for exporting a pool, which kind of makes sense, since the system is expecting you to put that pool back together.

Is that maybe something like what you did?

A reboot is supposed to "fix" it.

Or try:

# sqlite3 /data/freenas-v1.db "delete from storage_disk"

before reboot, if it doesnt work.
