I recently had one disk (of six on ZFS2) with 27 uncorrectable errors. I only discovered this quite by accident as I logged in to check for updates to plugins. I had set up email reporting for it in the original 9.3 config to receive notifications and these were carried forwards to FreeNas 9.10.
I am not sure if this is a bug, but I received no notifications about disk errors in FreeNas 9.10 by email. They were there in the alert system after logging in to FreeNas, but I was not notified by email. That is how I discovered the faulty disk. It has now been replaced/resilvered.
As an aside, I did receive notifications in 9.3 and was in the process of resilvering on ZFS1 in the past when another disk died right in the middle of replacement. Oops.
