Dell T440 Server

Hello All,

Does anyone have any experience to install Freenas to a Dell Poweredge T440 tower server?

- 8x3.5"
- 2x Xeon Bronze 3106
- 4x8GB
- PERC H330+ Controller
- Intel C236 chipset

Any help is much appreciated.

Yeah, your first step is to crossflash that PERC controller with IT firmware.

Seconding. The stock H330 firmware is known to have poor performance under IT/passthrough modes. It can be reflashed into an HBA330.
