Deleting an uninvited jail

I have a jail folder in my zpool that I'd like to remove and I'm at a bit of a loss on how to do it. In searching through the forums over the past few days I see some similar posts, but I'm not really getting anywhere on solving my problems. The forum search results did give me some good hints on what to bring to the table to help solve this so here it goes.

FreeNAS-11.1-U4
AMD A6-5400K
Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H
12 GB DDR3 RAM (non-ECC)
Boot: 8GB Sandisk Cruzer Fit
8x WD1003FZEX (WD Black 1TB) RAID Z2
Storage Controller: AMD A88x
Intel 82574L NIC

I just use FreeNAS for storage. I don't (and never have) installed any plugins. CIFS and NFS shares only. No VMs. No idea where the jail came from. It's using about 1TB of my zpool.

Some observations/hints ...

There's nothing in the jails folder
root@titan2:/mnt/Data1/jails # ll
total 0

warden list shows this (nothing)
ID AUTOSTART STATUS TYPE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the WebUI nothing is listed under jails
jails.jpg

In the WebUI a jail is listed under Volumes
volumes.jpg

If I missed any additional information, I'll come back and post it
Any help is certainly appreciated!

Thats not a unwanted jail. Its just an empty jails folder. It will be created wherever where you set the jails directory.

gt2416 - Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Could you suggest how the folder might be removed and the jails folder's storage space might be returned to my DS1 storage space?

If it's of any help, I've never set up any jails and I frankly would like the space back on my humble little device. Hence why I called it 'uninvited'. It's unwanted and I have no idea where it came from.

OK. Thanks everyone.

Anyone care to comment on why that jails folder showed up? System has been running in this configuration with no changes since ~2015. Logging in to the console shows it the jails folder was created a month ago.
