Agreed.... Additionally, I prefer to see how it is done in the cli. The GUI is nice when things are working as they should be, but I feel dirty using a GUI tool unless I understand what it is doing underneath.

It's good to understand what's going on behind the curtain, but in general with FreeNAS, if something can be done through the GUI, it should be. The middleware can get confused if things are changed behind its back.
