Degraded boot pool

I have some permanent errors on my boot pool. (I had previously mirrored USB thumbdrives, but for some reason my motherboard does NOT like to have more than one active for long periods of time). Due to lack of SATA ports, I've put off installing a proper drive (and I don't have m.2 connectors)

The files that are degraded according to
Code:
zpool status -v
are:

//usr/local/lib/freenasOS
//usr/local/share/certs

So I have 2 questions regarding this degradation:
  1. Are the two files mentioned as degraded, files that could be restored by verifying the install? (specifically I'm concerned about the "certs" file)
  2. How does one verify the install in the new 11.2 UI? I know there was a button in the old 9.x interface, but I can't seem to find it in the new interface.

Did you find the answer to your questions?
I unfortunately did not, however, as just yesterday I learned the importance of the system dataset the hard way, the question isn't relevant to me anymore. :oops:

I do still have a question about ZFS specifically, though, that might be more answerable. When ZFS reports an error in a pool with many versions of the same dataset (I had installed FreeNAS 9.2, I think, and then upgraded since then, including an abortive attempt at Corral), are the files it is mentioning in the active mounted dataset, or could they be in an older, unused dataset, or are files reported differently when they are not in a mounted dataset? (i.e., files that only exist in snapshots)
