I'm currently using an Intel optane for a slog which is working pretty well, but I would like to add a 10gbe nic and I'm trying to avoid adding a second CPU (required for additional slots) as even idle it has a noticably different power draw.
I'd like to switch to 10gbe as I've been mazing out the current 3x 1gbe uplinks but that's require I remove the optane.
Would the performance of SAS or sata ssds such as the Intel dcs3700 create a bottleneck and cause the write speed the worse then what it is currently?
