I have brought a Freenas 0.69.2 rev 4700, has a MB intel xeon server with 2GB ram and a 3ware 9650SE card 16x2TB discs and raid5 with all discs.
One of the disks is generating an error code "DCB Read Failure", "contact freenas".
The guide say the method to replace the disk was simple: remove the faulty put the new, enter the bios, give rebuild and reboot. The driver would take care of the rest. When I started to do the rebuild, stopped at 2% of the process with an ECC error.
According to the documentation, it is an unfortunate error sector can be in any of the disks. The strange thing is that I have no error reporting in any disk sector.
Googling I found as solution is to install new version of software and try with the software that brings.
