Hi all!
running a FREENAS 11.2-RC1 box with:

MOBO: Asrock mini-itx E3C226D2I
CPU: Intel E3-1225 v3 @ 3.20GHz
HDD: 5x 3TB WD30EFRX RED (RAIDZ2 setup)
RAM: 2x8GB kingston KVR16LE11L/8 ECC 1,35v

This morning, i found the "daily security run output" mail full of this:

Code:
freenas.local kernel log messages:
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(7): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(4): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(6): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(12): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(9): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed
> swap_pager_getswapspace(5): failed

I searched on the forum and it should be about a memory leak, but actually, apart from plex and trasmission, I don't have other plugins on.

The graphs (especially the ones from the old webUI), reports swap increase from 03:00am till 8:20am, but i don't remember to have any task set at that time (scrub of data pool starts on 01.00am and not that day, and scrub of USB start at 03.45).
How can i understand what caused the problem?

Have a look at the maintenance schedule in your plex server settings.

I think the default database maintenence activities happen somewhere around those hours.

At very least, you could just stop the plex server overnight once to see if you still see the issue with it stopped.

The only thing I found is PLEX mainteinance operation time set between (02-05:00 am), (and my swap lasted till 08.30am) but actually never had this kind of problem in the past

I noted that there is a fix for the final 11.2 release (due in a few days) covering a problem with memory cleanup not being run before the system uses swap. Perhaps that will explain/cover this problem.
