I am trying to follow the guides for installing crash plan, but I am hitting a snag when I need to have the freeNAS box listen on port 4232. How do I go about opening the port for it? I've tried following the command that crashplan says about
ssh -L 4200:localhost:4243 yourusername@2.2.2.2
but it just keeps asking me to login my freenas box, and doesn't actually set up the forward.
I am trying to verify this but I can't get it to actually work, Any help would be appricated.
netstat -na | grep LISTEN | grep 42
username$ netstat -na | grep LISTEN | grep 42
tcp4 0 0 *.4242 *.* LISTEN
tcp4 0 0 127.0.0.1.4243 *.*
