Updated Couchpotato from the GUI, it starts but then stops again. Tried from the command line and it prompts for using onestart instead of start command; and it does start up, but then dies again.

Does a fresh install + update to the latest work for you?

What do you mean by "fresh"? Delete and reinstall plugin? Or upgrade to latest version of Freenas? I'm game for either as long as I have a guide of how to backup my settings and restore them in a relatively short period of time. I've already rebuilt this server at least 3 times due to faulty drives, don't relish doing it again, especially now that I have much more data on it.

I mean a new install of the CP plugin from the repo. I recommend you don't delete the old CP instance until you're sure the new one works.
Everything you would need to back & restore is in /var/db/couchpotato

Ok, I downloaded and installed a new couchpotato. I did the configurations, but is there a way I can copy my wanted list from the old one?

not sure, CP forums would be the best place to ask. if you copied the entire directory over everything would have all been restored.

Looked at it today and it is running again, accessed the "new" ip I gave it, and my wanted list was still there.
