Confusing Supermicro X10 boards

Sorry to be a NOB but looking at Supermicro's website and the various excellent threads on this board I cant determine the "functional"difference between the following:
X10SLM+-F
X10SLM-F

They needed two additional layers to allow for four i210s instead of a single i210 and an i217? That seems awfully excessive.
