I'm getting the "Updating CPU Microcode..." during boot as others have mentioned.
I was surprised to find a BIOS update for my ancient SuperMicro board, but that's been completed now with no resolution to the issue. I had updated to 13.0x, but I rolled back to 12U8 with the same issue.
I've seen a mention of disabling the microcode update in boot options, does anyone know steps for that or if it's a big deal other than "You won't get any mitigations for security flaws"?
It's a lab system, so I'd rather have it work and worry about CPU code updates.
