I have been happily using 9.10.1 for some time now with no issues. I tried the U1 version and that didn't work well at all, so reverted back to 9.10.1. I have since tried U2 but now all of my CIFS shares are unreachable. Perhaps this has already been discussed somewhere, but didn't see that during cursory search. I went back to 9.10.1 and all my CIFS shares are readable again just like they were. So what is it about U2 that makes them invisible to the network?

Yes, it was running. Still, I stopped it then restarted it and it now seems to be working...at least for the few minutes I've had it going on U2. In any case, thanks for the reminder to check it.

NetBIOS name resolution is somewhat unreliable. Sometimes you just have kick it a few times to get things working properly. There's a reason why MS moved away from NT-style workgroups for business environments.
