CIFS Not authenticating..

Hi,

I set up Storage with Windows Permissions, and using CIFS sharing for it. All of the owners/users are set to one username which I creatred.

If I go the IP of the NAS box via explorer, it shows me all of the shares but doesn't ask me to for a passwor or username.

Please help. I would like to secure my shares from being public on network.

Windows automatically attempts to login with your credentials and then as guest. If they match the server credentials, you'll never see a login prompt.
