Choose Pool For Plugin and Jail Storage - How to select sub-dataset

Hi All,

I would like to install my plugins under a specific sub-dataset. Reason being is I enabled encryption only at the dataset level. I did not use encryptions due to previous hardware it would of caused performance hit, I have since moved the drives to a better system and started using the encrypted datasets.

Example:

Pool
>Encrypted data set (want to install here)

What would be my best option. Thanks for the help.

You can't do that. (without breaking the appliance).

Generally, you don't have anything in the jail that is worth encrypting, since all config and data should be from mounts that come from datasets you can select the locations of (hence placed in encrypted datasets if you want).

Adding to @sretalla TrueNAS already creates the "iocage" dataset in your preferred pool so all jails are stored away nice and tidy. You cannot change that name as he said.
