Changing IDE to AHCI

I'm currently running Truenas core on my NAS, running IDE controller and I want to change it to AHCI, but I'm scared that just changing it in the BIOS would result in issues with Truenas. What should I do?

Since you haven't exactly provided a lot of context, I would ask back: Why do you want to perform this change in the first place?
