Yeah, that was an oversight. Changelogs are generally more informative and better curated.

Those are commit messages, not curated ChangeLog entries. The reason they appeared is that a 9.3-CURRENT nightly was accidentally built on the 9.3-STABLE train due to some changes in our automation and a resulting oversight. No "bad changes" made it in and anyone running that build need not worry, but yes, the ChangeLog entries are generally curated directly from the Bug Report database (using https://bugs.freenas.org/projects/freenas/issues?query_id=107) so however good the Bug report titles are, is how good the ChangeLog entries will be. As I said, those were internal developer commits intended for an entirely different audience. :)
