I am running the 8.0.4 (latest version) of FreeNas. When I configure ldap, it loads a little over 500 of my users out of about 3000 and then it hangs. It never finishes. The entire FreeNas system becomes disfunctional and I can't do anything. If I force a reboot by unplugging the power, it comes up with ldap running as a service, but it only has about 500 of my users. And because it never finished properly, the cacert file doesn't exist so ssl and tls don't work. This means that CIFS doesn't work either since it relies on tls.
Is this perhaps a timeout problem with my ldap server? Do I need to set a higher timeout value at the ldap side or perhaps the freenas side? If so where and what would I enter? Any other thoughts for why this might be happening?
