I am in a bit of a loss here. It's been a week since I've been tinkering trying to solve this problem.
I'm no expert in networking, so I'll be leaving all my Networking configuration below as well to see if someone can point out any mistakes.
To the problem:
I have set up the NAS server a while ago and have been using it for SMB and VPN to access my files remotely. Everything works all right.
Last week I tried to set up a plex server on this machine and no matter which settings I specify in the jail configuration, the installation throws me an error. Sometimes it can't reach pkg.FreeBSD.org, sometimes it's a DNS timeout. With my current network configuration I can ping FreeBSD.org.
I have tried using VNET, DCHP, unchecking all options, passing a static IP, you name it. I have been reading several posts here and still no solution, which leads me to think this may really be a network configuration issue.

I am also using the DynamicDNS service (with google domains) which works fine and keeps up with my IP changes.
On the router side, I have DCHP enabled and have assigned a static IP for the NAS machine (same as the IPv4 shown in Network Summary)
Lastly, in OpenVPN I have set the server to 192.168.1.0/24
Oh, and this is my
