Cant find server on WORKGROUP

Hello,

After installing a self-signed certificate and changed the protocol to HTTPS I suddenly cant find my server on the network anymore. Both my laptop and my FreeNAS server is in the same workgroup (WORKGROUP) and it used to work up until I installed the certificate and the protocol. I'm a total noob with this whole system, so bear with me please

I've noticed the same after the last Windows 10 update. Before I could see the NAS on all my windows and linux boxes, now the NAS (and my linux servers) are gone from windows - Only windows computers are showing. The way around without wasting too much time was do what @Ericloewe suggested above when on Windows.

I had seem some discussions and fixes, and I'm sure, if you do some search you will also find. In my case not worthy my time ;)

Computers work in mysterious ways. Somehow today I'm able to acces the server through the WORKGROUP.

No, it's just NetBIOS discovery that sucks harder than a networking protocol has any right to suck.

Isn't that true! FreeNAS is now showing in my network without any changes or updates to any computer over here ...
