Can't create a pool.

I set up truenas core recently and I have been trying to create a pool. My main disk does not show in the pool menu. I tried switching the sata port but that had no effect on it. I also tried it with my external SSD. That one shows up but says 0 bytes available. How should I fix it?

With 'main disk' you are refering to the disk you installed truenas on ? It is normal that you don't see that (it is the system disk and has the boot-pool already on it... your external SSD is likely already partitioned.

If you are sure there is nothing you need on it you should be able to wipe it from the UI:

this would let you create a one disk pool. Are you setting this up to learn truneas or are you planning on using that for Storage ? Because single external disks might not be a good solution for a system that is holding data
