Can't contact LDAP server

Hello,

I tried all troubleshooting tips in freenas documentation. Freenas always show this error. If i specify manually the domain controller i get an error

• Invalid Host/Port: [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known

Freenas server has a registry A on DNS server and _ldap._tcp.domain seems ok. The domain controller is a windows 2003 server.
Ping is ok to every host on DNS server.

Klist shows this:

Jan 7 13:01:25 Jan 7 23:01:25 krbtgt/BIOBIDE.LOCAL@BIOBIDE.LOCAL
Jan 7 13:01:47 Jan 7 23:01:25 cifs/servidor.biobide.local@BIOBIDE.LOCAL
Jan 7 13:01:48 Jan 7 23:01:25 ldap/servidor.biobide.local@BIOBIDE.LOCAL

where servidor.biobide.local is FDQN of domain controller.

I tried to connect to DC with jxplorer and everything works fine, i dont understand...
Is there a problem with using 389 as port for LDAP?
Using jxplorer the username was domain\user but i tried the same on freenas and can't contact ldap server.

No, as that is the default. Still sounds like the FreeNAS side isn't finding the DC entry in DNS.

i rebooted both machines and everything go fine. Not sure what was the problem.
