I recently build a NAS from an older PC. I had everything up and running well and could access all the shares within Windows. I did a few changes and reinstalled with dual boot flash drives.

At first, everything was the same but I had a drive "degrade" for some reason, so I returned it and got a replacement. Got the drive in and repopulated it (Resilver). Prior to having the drive issue, is when the sharing problem came up. I am able to ping the NAS but nothing else.

At one point, the a share started to work but stopped again.

Any help would be GREAT!

Windows 10 Home
AMD Processor (unsure what else - I attached a picture of the board)
16Gb of Ram
Network card is onboard

You're trying to map the filesystem path to the share. You need to map the \\<ip or hostname>\<share name> In your example \\192.168.1.156\Root.
