Hi
I am new to TrueNAS and today morning I was finally able to install it on my spare desktop with AMD APU10 processor, 120GB SSD and two 6TB WD Gold enterprise HDD for NAS purposes. I wanted NAS for ripping, storing and then accessing music files by an Arch Linux-based custom-made end point connected toI have many questions but first I need to get it operational.
After the successful TrueNAS installation on desktop SSD when I type the suggested IP address on the web browser of my new Asus Win 10 laptop I do not get to see TrueNAS username and password window on the laptop. After trying for some time to connect the message I get is page not displayed.

However when I do the same on my Galaxy note I do get that initial TrueNAS login window and I was also able to change the date and region. I did not proceed further however on the phone as screen is too small for such wholesome changes.

Can you try the following:
  • Clear Google Chrome's cache
  • Try with Google Chrome using "Incognito Mode"
  • Try with another web browser
  • Try with your Arch Linux based system

Tried the first three options but none worked.
Arch based linux system which is actually a apl4, mpd as music player and Cantata as front end on Window laptop is a headless system. Even if it works it won't be of any help as I need Win10 laptop to rip and manage music files on NAS.

It may be related to your default gateway or your network configuration.

What IP address subnet is the PC and what IP address subnet is the Galaxy Note.

Everything is working now. While changing various network settings in the laptop and also in the modem I messed up big time. I was not able to connect via wifi and no internet access was avaialble.

Then I logged to the modem from the phone and changed the SSID and password and again everything started to work again including accessing the TrueNAS from the laptop.

I have few more queries regarding setup and accessing music by arch linux based system.

Thanks to all who tried to solve this puzzle.
