Can it be a DRBL server?

It seems natural that the FreeNAS box also be a DRBL server, for booting things like Clonezilla Live on the LAN.

Is this available somewhere in the configuration or as a plug-in?

Nothing like this is built in to the FreeNAS config, and I'm not aware of a plug-in to do it. You may be able to set it up in a jail, and certainly ought to be able to get it running in a VirtualBox VM.

Aloha John.
Did you ever get that working ? I was just about to ask about this same topic, and it looks like yours is the only question on here about DRBL

Maybe this thread received less attention than it should because of the title. "DRBL" does not make me think of PXE and remote filesystems.

Anyway, FreeNAS has the pieces for this if you want to set up your own, TFTP for booting and NFS for a filesystem.
