I am looking for a cloud back-up solution for a FreeNAS server with snapshots running. Locally, I have used replication to copy the snapshots to another FreeNAS machine. Easy enough.
But, I would like to do the same thing (or potentially something a little different but the same level of data protection) to a cloud location.
There is Cloud Sync. But, if the source dataset suffers some kind of damage that goes unnoticed, that problem will apparently be copied to the cloud back-up too. It seems that I either need to copy snapshots (hopefully in an efficient manner) or the cloud solution has to create its own incremental snapshots as it receives new data.
Does anyone know of a solution for this? I would like to use the plugins or features already built into FreeNAS rather than building a new jail for this purpose.
Thank you.
