Hello guys!
First of all, thanks to developers and to community, these kind of projects need many energy to become true!
I want to build a NAS based on this OS, and the doubts are mainly related to the HW needed.
Okay, but what do you want from this NAS?
What did I think of?
An HPE ProLiant MicroServer GEN10 X3216 with 8GB RAM: quite compact and reliable. 5 drives supported.
At this case : because is quite small. But I don't know what mobo and CPU I need to complete this build!
I am looking for advices, critics and experiences from others!
Thanks
Seek

- Secure family data (photos, videos, memories, documents) to avoid divorce.
- Avoid divorce by securing family records.
- Create a personal cloud: make content accessible via Android apps (such as Dropbox, MEGA, and similar).
- Deposit laptop backups (made through Veeam).
- The ability to RAID disks of different sizes (such as Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR)).
- Sometimes streaming media files on TV: hey is a NAS to keep your data safe, the less you turn it on, the better is!
- 4 bays
- hot swap
- Host VM.
- 6 bays
- Physical space in the home.
- I must use 3.5 "discs (cheaper).
- Noise: to avoid divorce.
