I had previously had btsync working on 9.1.1 using this tutorial http://blog.bittorrent.com/2013/06/17/bittorrent-sync-turning-your-old-computer-into-an-nas-drive/

I wanted to update btsync and saw there was an updated plugin available for 9.2. so i updated to 9.2 and when I tried installing the plugin I get "Some error occurred."

I tried resetting freenas to factory defaults just in case there was some file from the tutorial causing the plugin to not start. This didn't work.

The logs in /var/log/messages say "files manage.py: [freeadmin.navtree:522] Couldn't retrieve http://myip/plugins/btsync/1/_s/treemenu: timed out"
"files manage.py: [plugins.utils:87] Couldn't retrieve http://myip/plugins/btsync/1/_s/status: Bad Gateway"

I have read of the "Some error occured." message for other plugins and some docs that give instructions for getting the other plugins working. Are there any docs for btsync?

this problem isn't btsync specific. can you try reinstalling the plugin again?

Yes I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it a number of times. I haven't gotten it to turn on in a test vmware instance either.

No they do not. Must be a permissions issue. I'm getting the message for the jail that /etc/login.conf is not owned by root.
