I am an IT consultant working with databases for over 20 years. My experience is wide and deep, I initially carried out component repair, swapping out caps, resistors ICs on printer and small mini-frame systems. I then became hardware certified with all of the main vendors at the time. I then switched to software development, pascal, c++ and finally ended up becoming a DBA.
I have used FreeNAS for many years, primarily for storing photos but its use has far extended its initial purpose and now use FreeNAS for pretty much all my storage requirements, including making great use of Jails for a variety of purposes.
