Hi, have been playing with Freenas for a little bit and have been very impressed by it, but have come across something I'm having trouble with.
I can import an external drive using 8.2 but was wondering what would happen if that drive was simply un plugged and then plugged back in at a later stage.
(The idea is to test a real life situation where some one would like to take the backup off site for the night and or weekend. also the drives with soft switches that stay off)
I was assuming/hoping that the drive would simply auto reconnect but it doesn't.
Is there any way to make an external usb HDD reconnect in Freenas by simply being plugged back in ?
