I don't see any reason why it wouldn't support pentium dual cores as well? Is it too much of a gamble?
What CPU are you thinking about specifically? If the CPU you are looking at is NOT LGA 1150; then forget about it. For me there is some concern as far as I3 processors and actual support of ECC. But others may chime in differently.

The only downside is the 16 GB limit.
Nice find, though... Mini-itx...Besides Freenas, this would be a great mobo for sophos or pfsense...

I just compared based on Intel ARK info of the CPUs (see link I supplied). Per @BigDave 's link, I am still skeptical since the SKU of the Tyan MB by the OP is "S5533GM2NR-LE". Per that link, it does show support for a G3220 CPU; but is listed only for SKUs "S5535AG2NR" and "S5535AG2NR-HE".

Of course, I could be way off base and not interpreting it correctly.

I think the only way to be sure is to contact Tyan's support and ask if that specific proc
is supported, but I'll stick my neck out and say I'll be surprised if it's not. Maybe they
just did not test that at the time the board (and the documentation) was released.
I'd use some google fu and see if I could located some usage of the Pentium with that model board.

I have never heard of an LGA1150 board that didn't take the Pentium G3xxx CPUs for the 1150. Never.

Seems like the consensus is that the G3220 is supported then. If you do get this Motherboard and the G3220; please let us know how things work out and so I can formally eat crow. ;)
