Any guides how to check (used) hardware prior to TrueNAS Scale installation

I'm starting soon to build my new homeserver with TrueNAS Scale.
Most of the hardware is used and I want to check the hardware properly prior to using the server.

Some activities, which I consider:

1. Updating Mainboard BIOS & BMC
2. Checking SSD SMART values
3. Updating SSD firmware?
4. Checking Memory? Which tool to use? (Linux, or Windows)
5. Burn in of harddrives? which tool, script to use?
6. CPU stresstest to test cooling and adjust fan curves? which tools?
7. ???

I haven't seen one complete guide, which activities are recommended. Thanks for any guidance
