Hi FreeNAS Forum - Great Forum
Hope that you can help me.
My new FreeNAS Server hardware:
FreeNAS 9.10 - Stable
Supermicro X9SRL-F
1 x Intel Xeon E5-2603 V2
1 x 100 GB HDD Boot Disk SATA
2 x 16 GB DDR3-1866 ECC REG
1 x Inter-tech Case IPC Storage 4U-4416 + Delock Cable SAS SFF-8087 to SAS SFF-8087
2 x LSI "M1015" Flash to IT mode
2 x Intel X520-DA2 E10G42BTDA - 10 Gbit Nic
10 x HGST 4 Tb SAS - Ultrastar 7K4000 - 7200RPM
I will use my FreeNAS as a NFSv3 datastore for EXSI 6.0
I have created ZFS mirror (Raid10) on all 10 4TB Disk.
Created one "Tank"
- zfs Atime = disabled
- zfs Sync = disabled - (Only for test)
- zfs compression = Off - (Only for test)
- MTU on my 10 Gbit nic on my FreeNAS and VMware 6.0 set to 9000
- No Slog / And no L2ARC SSD
If i do a local speed test on my FreeNAS ZFS "Raid10" with: bonnie++ -u root -r 1024 -s 64384 -d /Raid10Disk/ -f -b -n 1 -c 4
Write 634 mb/s
Re-write 256 mb/s
Read 715 mb/s
If I do it on a virtuel Windows in the VMware connected to my FreeNAS NFS datastore it get:
HD Tune pro
Write 175 mb/s - why so slow.. sync is disabled
Read 95 mb/s - why so slow.. help :)
I have one 10 Gbit fiber cable from my FreeNAS Nic to my VMware 10 Gbit nic.
Network Test
iperf3 -s (FreeNAS)
iperf3 -c (FreeBSD virtuel VMware)
Speed: 9.300 Mbit :)
Hope that some one can help me with my slow FreeNAS/NFS/VMware, I have read the forum for 10 hours right now
)
Everyone says Slog SSD and more ram
), but I have sync disables as a test, and I only get 95 mb/s read - and the way I understand slog is about write / not read
What will you think that a setup like this can give in Read/Write Mb/s
Thanks
Thanks
