amd 64 iso installed on a 32 bit? processor??

i was on irc and again puzzled.
I believe that i have a 32 bit proc: http://ark.intel.com/products/27463; Intel Pentium 4 530 Processor (3.0-GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB)
Have installed the amd64 iso. Booting takes very long but untill now all ok.
Somebody on irc told me that the proc had 64 bit capabilies, but the specs say different?
Do i have to worry about stability problems

If the processor didn't support 64 bit it wouldn't be able run 64 bit code. If you are running a 64 bit OS on the processor then it is 64 bit capable.

That's what I thought.
But i have a lot of media on my NAS which I share with my ATV. I also managed to make à na kip on th NAS with timemachine.
Weird??
