Hello there.
I Just set up a new FreeNas server to replace an old and failing QNap NAS.
I prefer to have 2 network cards in my NAS devices and the motherboard I have only came with 1.
So the setup went fine, everything is working, however, it didn't recognize my network card. After doing some reading and googling, I ordered an Intel network card from Amazon: Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E Network Adapter EXPI9301CTBLK
Now, everything I've read said I should be able to plug it in and it should work, but it's not. The system doesn't seem to recognize it as best I can tell.
Unfortunately, I'm not a *nix guy so I'm not 100% sure how to tell if my system really sees it or not. I've tried to run various commands and best I can tell, the system doesn't see it.
I tried moving it from one port to another (I have 2) but the results remain the same.
Can someone suggest another course of action or commands I can utilize to troubleshoot the problem?
thanks.
