SOLVED Adding second\mirror drive

I currently have a single SSD that runs FreeNAS. I'd like to add a second SSD of equal size for redundancy. However, I'm reluctant without knowing for certain if the restore is generally considered reliable from others that have done it. Also, getting a second set of eyes to confirm my steps would be helpful.

I'm thinking these would be the steps, but please correct me if I'm wrong
1. Image the disk just in case...
2. Backup config (System\General\Save) running 11-U4
3. Open up and get the second SSD installed
4. Boot from a USB stick (same version)
5. This time select a mirrored installation and be sure if there is an option to wipe the primary storage, I don't do it...
6. Restore config.

Is this possible? Recommended?

Mirroring the boot device is easy on a already running system. Just install a disk of equal or greater size and follow the instructions in the documentation: http://doc.freenas.org/11/system.html#mirroring-the-boot-device

Oh man, your a lifesaver. I somehow missed that in the documentation. A lot easier than what I was thinking.
