Accessing snapshot files

I'm still learning the ZFS basics. I allmost have all the basics figured out, but I still have a question:
When I create a snapshot, I'm supposed to be able to access the old version (in the snapshot) files... I usually would do this kind of task via sftp (filezilla, for example)... how to do this? Is there some special folder?

Snapshots aren't browsable until they are cloned and mounted: http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Periodic_Snapshot_Tasks#Managing_Periodic_Snapshot_Tasks.
