Now with the release of Docker. How are you able to access the data stored on the FreeNAS host?

It doesn't seem very practical.
Then what is the advantage over jail ?

I was going to setup docker for plex, jackett (that one doesn't need data binding), radarr, filebot, jdownloader, ...
But if you go over the network .... for something that's right there.
There is no way to bind the data on the NAS volumes and the VM rancher-docker ?

There is no advantage, jails have direct access to storage and the full system performance.

That's my understanding. I play with docker inside linux and windows, it's so fun to have the same configuration, fast and easy on different OS.
I'm disappointed it's not the same with Freenas.

Agreed, but I fear we need to wait for proper docker support in FreeBSD until it’s viable. Atleast for me
