acces storage on freenas trough vm

i searched for it a bit but cant seem to find it how can i acces my smb shares on my freenas from the windows vm on the same box.

i can acces the internet and my router but i cant see anny other network components.

is there a way to give the VM direct access to the storage on the nas?

Are you unable to navigate to your shares by IP or host name? i.e. \\<FreeNAS IP>\<sharename>

that did it
first try with virtual machiens isnt gooing to smopothe they feel slugish i was planning to run plex media server and milestone in a windows 10 vm but it takes forever lol
