The Gigabyte H370 HD3 has an Intel GbE LAN chip which should be supported.

Is the information given in the manual helpful?

If there's a DHCP server in your local network setting an IP address should not be necessary.

For some reason unknown to me the output of ifconfig provided by you only shows the loopback interface ( lo) and nothing else.

Please try to make sure that the Intel GbE LAN interface is not disabled in the BIOS setup and does work at all, eventually using some other bootable medium.

After checking the base functionality make sure that there is no network cabling problem present.

BTW: The forum software supports drag and drop for image files (just checked).

Maybe I spoke too soon about Intel H370 GBit Ethernet support in FreeNAS 11.1, sorry for that.

Please also provide the output of
pciconf -lvcb em0
and (if this first command doesn't show device information)
pciconf -lvcb igb0

Hopefully someone is able to help.

Any Intel single port GBit Ethernet PCIe card (82574L or I210 based) should work, for example
